Profile: How Do I Become A Life Coach?

You can become a certified coach by attending classes and getting a certificate but the industry doesn't currently require certification so any one can technically call themselves a life coach without any formal training.

However, the best coaches are people who have experienced great struggle in their life and learned from their experiences and have a passion to help others get through the trials and hardships of life. I have 35 years of arthritis pain and growing up in as a neglected child and a certificate.

Short bio: Kimberly Dixon is a nationally known speaker, author and life coach (Joyful Living with Kimberly Dixon, LLC.) After a difficult childhood and 11 orthopedic surgeries, I experienced an emotional and spiritual crisis in addition to a physical one. Through decades of pain with God's grace, I found my way back. I now speak and teach others through life coaching how to reclaim their joy.
